The growth of IoT and cloud technologies is leading to massive growth in secure systems. This in turn is driving the use of different types of portals to connect on-premises networks to the cloud and field level protocols to application-level protocols. Such gateways no longer just work as protocol interpreters but allow critical decision making, analytics and machine learning at the edge level. Almost every IoT solution need a gateway in the network.

For original equipment manufacturers to remain contentious, they are progressively seeking specialized partners to build application-specific gateways in the shortest period of time. One of the main challenges we experience during the design phase of an IoT application is connectivity. The sensors and devices would be given out across a large area and would have communication protocols of their own. The data obtained from these sensors should be moved to a web application hosted in a cloud platform.
